VMWare Exits With RackWare

APAC/EMEA Session
18 February 2026 at 11:00am CET (UTC+1)

This technical training session is designed specifically for engineers and architects tasked with migrating workloads out of VMware and into agile, cloud-native environments using the RackWare Platform.

Learn how to automate the transition from vSphere to the cloud of your choice while ensuring minimal downtime and maximum data integrity.

What You Will Learn

Key Use Cases

  • Automating the migration from on-premises VMware vCenter/vSphere to cloud-native instances.

  • Implementing Backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) directly into public or private cloud targets.

  • Creating a flexible hybrid architecture that allows workloads to move freely between legacy environments and modern cloud stacks.

Platform Coverage

Understand how to deploy RackWare across diverse infrastructure stacks to migrate, protect, and manage workloads in:

  • Public Cloud-Native: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle, and IBM Cloud.

  • Sovereign & Private Clouds: Secure migrations to OpenStack or localized cloud infrastructures.

  • Other Hypervisors in the datacenter: Nutanix AHV, Hyper-V, KVM, OLVM.

Hands-On Technical Skills

Gain practical expertise in the specific workflows required to move away from VMware:

  • Installation & Setup: Deploying the RackWare Management Module (RMM) to act as the central hub for your migration, DR, and backup workflows.

  • VMware Source Preparation: Discovery in vCenter inventories and preparing VMs for a non-VMware hypervisor.

  • Target Cloud Provisioning: Configuring IAM roles, VPCs, and Security Groups to receive incoming workloads.

  • Wave Planning & Cutover: Organizing large-scale migrations into logical waves to minimize business disruption.

  • Policy Management: Define backup, sync, RPO/RTO, and failover policies tailored to your infrastructure.

Program Benefits

  • Accelerate your departure from VMware with automated, repeatable workflows.

  • Replace manual exports/imports with RackWare’s automated discovery and sync.

  • Test workloads in the cloud before final migration.

  • Build a standardized migration framework that works across any cloud provider.

Who Should Attend

  • Cloud Architects: Designing the roadmap for VMware decommissioning.

  • Migration Engineers: Executing the technical move from on-prem to cloud-native.

  • IT Modernization Leads: Driving initiatives to reduce hypervisor licensing costs.

  • MSPs: Looking to provide automated "VMware Exit" services to their clients.
