Sash Sunkara is founder and CEO at RackWare. Sash has over 17 years of experience in product management, partnership development, marketing communications, and strategic planning. Most recently, Sash was VP of Marketing for QLogic’s Network Solutions Division with responsibilities for the switch product lines. Prior to this, she was co-founder and Chief Business Officer at 3leaf Systems (a server virtualization company). Her role as Chief Business Officer involved responsibilities for Marketing, Bus Dev, Support, and Ops. She developed the initial business plan and roadmap and launched the first product for the company. She also drove engagements with leading server OEMs. Prior experience includes a role as VP of Program Management at Brocade Communications where she was responsible for the execution of the company’s overall roadmap, including both product and strategic initiatives. Sash started her career at HP developing networking switches and routers. Sash’s market expertise includes solutions for data centers in both enterprise and hosting environments which leverage the increasing use of commodity server solutions, server virtualization, and leading edge storage architectures. Sash holds a BSEE degree from California State University, Sacramento, where she graduated with honors.
Todd Matters is founder and VP of Engineering at RackWare. Todd began his career building networking systems for very large scale Burroughs and IBM mainframe computers. In this capacity Todd work extensively with customers, particularly large international banks, on manageability, reliability, security, scale, and performance. Products included technologies such as WAN and LAN protocols, cryptography, and inter-operability of management software. Later at Unisys, Todd focused his attention on broader markets and standard Operating Systems, developing the first TCP/IP offload technology on Windows. In 1999 Todd co-founded InfiniCon Systems/SilverStorm Technologies serving as CTO and VP of Software development. Todd pioneered the architecture and development of virtualized Ethernet and Fibre Channel products and holds several patents in this area. Also at InfiniCon, Todd lead the development of a suite of products providing software to manage very large, high speed fabric networks. During his tenure, Todd drove the effort that lead to the successful acquisition by QLogic. At QLogic, Todd ran development for InfiniBand, Fibre Channel, and management software. Todd graduated with honors from Millersville State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics.
