Sash Sunkara is chief executive officer and co-founder of RackWare. She is a seasoned technology executive with deep expertise in solutions for data centers in both enterprise and hosting environments that leverage commodity server solutions, server virtualization, and leading edge storage architectures. Prior to founding RackWare in 2009, Sunkara was vice president of marketing for QLogic’s Network Solutions Division with responsibility for the switch product lines. Previously, she was co-founder and chief business officer at 3Leaf Systems, a venture-backed server virtualization company where her role as chief business officer spanned marketing, business development, support, and operations. Earlier in her career, Sunkara served as vice president of program management at Brocade Communications where she was responsible for the execution of the company’s overall roadmap, including both product and strategic initiatives. Sunkara started her career at HP developing networking switches and routers. Sunkara holds a BSEE degree from California State University, Sacramento, where she graduated with honors.
Since founding Kickstart in 2008, Gavin has been responsible for all aspects of managing the firm in addition to leading due diligence and investment decisions in conjunction with Kickstart’s Investment Committee.
Prior to Kickstart, Gavin was an analyst, associate and principal at vSpring (now Signal Peak). Before vSpring Capital, Gavin also worked as a Vertical Strategy Associate for Google and as a consultant in Monitor Group’s Cambridge office where he advised clients on a range of strategic, operational, and organizational improvements. Gavin began his career at Fidelity Investments as an investments representative.
Gavin received a Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management and a B.S. in Economics (with Honors), cum laude, from Brigham Young University. Gavin currently serves on the boards of Chargeback Guardian, Fuze Network, Grosocial (observer), Jackrabbit Systems, Juxta Labs, nanoMR, Panoptic Security, Symbiot, Zenprint and Zerista.
Nate joined Osage Partners in 2008 having previously been the President and CEO of Verticalnet, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand supply management software solutions, which was sold in January, 2008 to Italy-based BravoSolution. He served as the Malvern, PA- based Verticalnet’s CEO for over five years and was attributed with leading the transformation of Verticalnet from an online operator of web portals to a proven software solution provider, while navigating the company through a financial turnaround and ultimately a successful exit. Prior to Verticalnet, Nate was a Partner at Mercer Management Consulting and led both the San Francisco and the Hong Kong offices. During his time at Mercer, he worked closely with multinational companies and high growth emerging businesses both in the U.S. and in over fifteen countries across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Nate began his career at Chemical Bank in New York providing lending and structured finance services to mid-size companies. He is a graduate of Brown University and of the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he graduated with honors.
He serves on the Board of Directors of BA-Insight, Canvas, Carnegie Speech, InstaMed, ProtonMedia, FieldView, PeopleLinx, Pneuron and Medallion Analytics. He is also a board observer of Identropy.
Nate resides in Philadelphia, PA, with his wife Suzanne and his two sons and daughter.
As president and CEO of LANDesk Software, Steve Daly is responsible for driving new and existing LANDesk business, as well as the creation of innovative IT management solutions. Daly served as senior vice president of corporate strategy for Avocent Corporation from 2003 through December 2006 and was responsible for driving strategic planning and business development. He previously served as president and CEO of Soronti Inc., a remote management vendor acquired by Avocent in 2003. Before Soronti, Daly managed various marketing and finance positions at Intel Corporation and was director of marketing for the LANDesk Systems Management division of Intel. Daly holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from Brigham Young University.
Building upon an extensive career in the information technology sector, Ron serves as a founding partner and managing director of Signal Peak Ventures. Ron guides operations for our venture capital and growth equity firm with over $500 million of assets under management. As a former operating Executive, he spends significant time with portfolio companies helping incorporate their technology into viable business structures.
Prior to Signal Peak, Ron was a managing director at Canopy Ventures and previously served as the CEO of Phobos Corporation (acquired by SonicWALL) and Helius Corporation (acquired by Hughes Network Systems), as well as a Senior Vice President at Novell, Inc. where he spent 12 years.
Outside of Signal Peak, Ron supports key initiatives in Secondary Education, enjoys a wide variety of athletic endeavors and appreciates time with his wife and four grown children. He holds a B.S. from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute, an MBA from American University and a Masters Certificate in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
