Sash Sunkara

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Sash Sunkara is a seasoned technology executive with deep expertise in solutions for data centers in both enterprise and hosting environments that leverage commodity server solutions, server virtualization, and leading-edge storage architectures. Prior to founding RackWare in 2009, Sash was vice president of marketing for QLogic’s Network Solutions Division with responsibility for the switch product lines. Previously, she was co-founder and chief business officer at 3Leaf Systems, a venture-backed server virtualization company where her role as chief business officer spanned marketing, business development, support, and operations. Earlier in her career, Sash served as vice president of program management at Brocade Communications where she was responsible for the execution of the company’s overall roadmap, including both product and strategic initiatives. Sash started her career at HP developing networking switches and routers. She holds a BSEE degree from California State University, Sacramento, where she graduated with honors.

Todd Matters

Co-Founder and Chief Architect

A serial entrepreneur with in excess of 10 patents to his name, Todd Matters previously served as senior director of engineering at QLogic (acquired by Intel in 2012) with responsibility for the InfiniBand and Fibre Channel products, as well as management software for a very large, high-speed fabric networks. Matters joined QLogic as a result of QLogic’s 2006 acquisition of SilverStorm Technologies (InfiniCon) where he was also a co-founder and served as CTO and vice-president of engineering. Matters began his engineering career at Unisys building networking systems for very large scale Burroughs and IBM mainframes, working directly with Tier 1 international banks to solve their manageability, reliability, security, scale, and performance challenges. Later at Unisys, Matters applied his breakthrough work in the financial services industry to broader markets and standard operating systems, developing the first TCP/IP offload technology on Windows. Matters graduated with honors from Millersville State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics.

Bryan Gobbett

Senior Vice-President, Engineering

Bryan Gobbett brings almost 20years of experience in software development in the networking, telecommunications and virtualization domains at leading technology companies. Simultaneously managing teams across as many as five globally distributed development centers has instilled in Bryan a passion for engineering efficiency and excellence. Prior to joining Rackware he held engineering leadership positions at Gigamon, Ericsson, Dell and Cisco. Bryan holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.

Mallikarjun Murag

Vice President of Software Development

Mallikarjun Murag brings nearly 25 years of experience in developing and delivering software products and solutions in the VoIP, IP video streaming, data networking, telecommunications and virtualization technologies at leading start-ups and major public companies. Prior to joining Rackware, Mallikarjun served in senior engineering leadership positions at Gigamon, RGB Networks, Cisco Systems, IP Unity, EmpowerTel Networks and others companies. Mallikarjun earned a Bachelor¹s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University and Master’s degree in Electrical Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), India. Mallikarjun is recognized for his technology and engineering leadership that includes architecture, strategic planning, operational excellence, engineering efficiency, establishing and managing geographically distributed teams, employee development and customer focus.

Sunil Deo

India Head

Sunil is the India Head at RackWare, spearheading the India operations. Sunil carries more than 26 years of IT experience spanning IT Infrastructure, IT security, cloud technologies, remote infrastructure management, operations and general management. Sunil has vast experience across multiple verticals including banking and finance, technology, communication, manufacturing, oil and gas, government, and software. Before RackWare, Sunil was a Co-Founder & CTO at ekSource Infotech Pvt Ltd., a customized software, mobile and cloud applications development firm in Pune, India. Previous to that, Sunil worked in UAE – Dubai & Sharjah, the UK and the US for five years with companies including AT&T, Philips, AmoCo-BP, CitiBank, Norwich Union- Aviva , RedHat, and C-DAC in India on various projects. Sunil holds Diploma in electrical engineering, Bachelor’s degree in electronics and MBA in systems.

Gavin Christensen

Since founding Kickstart in 2008, Gavin has been responsible for all aspects of managing the firm in addition to leading due diligence and investment decisions in conjunction with Kickstart’s Investment Committee. Prior to Kickstart, Gavin was an analyst, associate and principal at vSpring (now Signal Peak). Before vSpring Capital, Gavin also worked as a Vertical Strategy Associate for Google and as a consultant in Monitor Group’s Cambridge office where he advised clients on a range of strategic, operational, and organizational improvements. Gavin began his career at Fidelity Investments as an investments representative. Gavin currently serves on the boards of Chargeback Guardian, Fuze Network, Grosocial (observer), Jackrabbit Systems, Juxta Labs, nanoMR, Panoptic Security, Symbiot, Zenprint and Zerista.

Nate Lentz

Nate joined Osage Partners in 2008 having previously been the President and CEO of Verticalnet, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand supply management software solutions, which was sold in January, 2008 to Italy-based BravoSolution. He served as the Malvern, PA- based Verticalnet’s CEO for over five years and was attributed with leading the transformation of Verticalnet from an online operator of web portals to a proven software solution provider, while navigating the company through a financial turnaround and ultimately a successful exit. Prior to Verticalnet, Nate was a Partner at Mercer Management Consulting and led both the San Francisco and the Hong Kong offices. He serves on the Board of Directors of BA-Insight, Canvas, Carnegie Speech, InstaMed, ProtonMedia, FieldView, PeopleLinx, Pneuron and Medallion Analytics. He is also a board observer of Identropy.

Steve Daly

As president and CEO of LANDesk Software, Steve Daly is responsible for driving new and existing LANDesk business, as well as the creation of innovative IT management solutions. Daly served as senior vice president of corporate strategy for Avocent Corporation from 2003 through December 2006 and was responsible for driving strategic planning and business development. He previously served as president and CEO of Soronti Inc., a remote management vendor acquired by Avocent in 2003.

Ron Heinz

Building upon an extensive career in the information technology sector, Ron serves as a founding partner and managing director of Signal Peak Ventures. Ron guides operations for our venture capital and growth equity firm with over $500 million of assets under management. As a former operating Executive, he spends significant time with portfolio companies helping incorporate their technology into viable business structures. Prior to Signal Peak, Ron was a managing director at Canopy Ventures and previously served as the CEO of Phobos Corporation (acquired by SonicWALL) and Helius Corporation (acquired by Hughes Network Systems), as well as a Senior Vice President at Novell, Inc. where he spent 12 years.
